FRICTIONS

FRICTIONS is a programme of administrative research, initiated by FoAM member Kate Rich, through her Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship (2024-2027) at the Alpine Community Economies Lab (ACELab), research arm of small alpine NGO Brave New Alps (IT).

Starting from the spectre of a regulatory environment that holds sustainably-minded cultural initiatives back, FRICTIONS is investigating the enabling potential of administration to open up room to move in spaces that often feel stuck.
