Art, Archives and Multilateral Futures
With the post-WWII model of multilateralism in crisis, innovative thinking and deepened interdisciplinary dialogue are necessary to reinvent a future vision of multilateralism capable of meeting current and future global challenges. This workshop explores how artistic research of international organizations’ archives at the Centre for Digital Humanities and Multilateralism (CDHM) could enrich and expand ongoing research and political debates on the future of multilateralism in Geneva and beyond. By bringing together researchers and practitioners in art, international relations, digital humanities, and futures studies, the workshop seeks to lay the foundation for future interdisciplinary artistic research around topics spanning conceptualizations of multilateralism, reform of global governance institutions, maintaining a rules-based international order, and anticipating future global challenges.
Maja Kuzmanović performed a short lecture On Growing New Worlds in the Cracks of the Old, during the panel on Reimagining Multilateral Futures, alongside Prof. Jennifer Parlamis (SOAS), Francesco Pisano (CDHM), Ruth Blackshaw and Klas Modeus (UN Department of the Possible), chaired by Prof. Lucile Maerten (GGC).
