Bitesize Lecture with Kóan Jeff Baysa
Kóan Jeff Baysa is a specialist physician, writer, art collector, Whitney Museum ISP Curatorial Alumnus, and AICA member who will speak on networking the areas of medical science and contemporary culture and producing interactive exhibitions and forums that focus on health perception, access to creative experiences and the sensate human being. He is an advocate of mashups that conflate ostensibly disparate subjects to fuel innovative thinking and design.
As a medical scientist, Dr. Baysa's interests centre around issues of the sensate body and in the ways that the physical self experiences and knows the world through the senses; as a cultural worker, his interests lie in examining the dynamics of subcultures nesting within larger cultures. As an artist, he is most interested in creating text-based works, while experimenting in all media.
