Periscope Dune

Periscope Dune is a fieldwork session on the Dutch Wadden island of Terschelling with a transdisciplinary team that is part of FoAM's Random Forests programme. The session aims to work within the specific ecologic and cultural context of the Island. Starting point for the exploration is a speculative scenario in which an AI tasked with protecting Unesco natural world heritage, starts to act autonomously. The storyline looks to probe the ways an AI might find information / gain agency locally as a case study for Random Forests. More details on the project website.
